Juicy Crab Seasoning Recipe (If you don’t have the premade seasoning):

  • 1 Tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp Onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp Paprika
  • 1 Tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Red pepper flakes
  • ½ Tbsp Celery seed
  • ½ Tbsp Dried oregano
  • 2 Tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp 6 pepper blended (optional, if you like it extra spicy)

Juicy Crab Sauce Recipe:

  • 2 sticks Unsalted butter
  • 2 sticks Salted butter
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh lemon juice
  • 2-3 Minced garlic cloves
  • 1 Large chopped white or yellow onion
  • 1-2 Tbsp Hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  • Combine all of your dry spices (the Juicy Crab seasoning) into a bowl and whisk them until they are fully combined. Set this seasoning mix aside for now.
  • Chop up your onion and mince your garlic cloves. Put these aside.
  • Melt your four sticks of butter. You can do this over medium heat on your stove with a saucepan. As soon as you see the sticks of butter melted completely, throw your minced garlic and chopped onion into the pan.
  • Cook the butter, onions, and garlic for a few minutes. The mixture is ready for the next step when you start to notice the onion and garlic pieces begin turning a little brown.
  • Add your Juicy Crab seasoning into the pan and mix everything around. It might look similar to a paste, but that’s okay.
  • Let the mixture cook down on low heat and allow it to simmer for a few minutes. Mix occasionally to prevent burning and sticking. The mixture should become thicker.
  • When the mixture thickens, you can add your four cups of chicken broth and lemon juice. Stir everything to incorporate the chicken broth.
  • If you want more heat, you can now add one to two tablespoons of your favorite hot sauce. Tabasco, Louisiana, and Red Hot are great brands to put in this sauce.
  • Allow the sauce to simmer for about 20 to 25 minutes to ensure everything is completely combined.
  • Let your freshly-made Juicy Crab sauce cool, then serve it with your homemade seafood boil. You can drizzle the sauce over each plate of seafood or use it as a dipping sauce.
