What are Kodiak Cakes?
The Kodiak Pancake is a different type of pancake mix that differs from your normal everyday type of mix that you buy from the store, these pancakes are high in protein, are made from 100% natural ingredients, and are organically made using sustainable practices, which means that your carbon footprint contribution while making these is a big, round zero.
That mean’s it’s a plus for us, our stomachs, and a plus for mother nature.

Kodiak Cake Recipe
Ingredients
- 240 g Kodiak Pancakes mix
- 4.2 g vanilla essence
- 3 eggs yolks and whites separated
- 360 g milk
Instructions
- Firstly, start adding the Kodiak pancake mix, the 3 egg yolks, the vanilla essence, and the milk all into one medium-sized baking bowl, once you've done that, get ready to start stirring!
- Secondly, add your leftover egg whites into a second bowl and beat them on high until they end up with a stiff peak form.
- Thirdly, add your stiff peak egg whites into your primary bowl, make sure you do this carefully.
- Lastly, pour the whole mixture into a frypan/skillet and leave it on medium heat for a few minutes on each side of the mixture, making sure either side doesn't get burnt.
- Once you've completed all these steps, you should be well on your way to adding your favorite fruits, sauces, and the like!

Kodiak Cake Tips & Tricks
Tip 1. Add as many of your favorite fruits, chocolate, or even pieces of bacon/sausage as you can, this makes for a pancake that tastes even more delish!
Tip 2. Use a measuring cup to evenly distribute the pancakes, and make the most of your batter per Kodiak Cake mix.
Tip 3. When pouring oil into your skillet/frypan, make sure you only put a small puddle worth of oil directly into the center of the pan, the pancake mixture will do the rest.
Tip 4. Let your oven or cooking top only heat up for approximately 5 minutes, any shorter or longer will result in a pancake that is either too hard or way too soft, by keeping the pre-heating to only 5 minutes, you’ll have the perfect pancake consistency.
Tip 5. Give it a thin layer of batter, laying it on thin will give it a light and bouncy texture, but laying it on too much and you’ll end up with a pancake that ends up with the density of a rock… well, not really but it’s definitely best to keep the batter light.
Tip 6. Don’t overmix the batter, once the batter has been stirred enough to get the originally dry ingredients moistened, then it’s time to stop, any longer and you’ll end up with a batter that’s quite tough to the touch.
Tip 7. Only flip your pancake once for each side, any more flips than that and you will more than likely end up with a very dry pancake.
Tip 8. Never hold back on the toppings – layer them on, and I mean it, like get as many toppings as you’d like and just top your pancake up, the more the merrier I say!
